Davis Cottage

The museum is the clue you gave us
The man who lived here was named Davis
He rendered service and logs he was paid
From that payment his house was made.

The first clue the boss gave me was the Davis cottage located at 308 Liberty Street.  This house was owned by Nathaniel Hart Davis and his wife, Sarah E. White. Nathaniel got this house as a legal fee in 1831 but it wasn't built till 1851...that's 20 years.

A kitchen was added in 1880. A south wing was added 15 years later, as well. There are also the grave markers of two of the Davis children there too. The children's actual graves are next door.

Now thats it. Hope you liked it.
